American Museum of Natural History

One of the tourists attractions that we both wanted to see on our trip was the American Museum of Natural History. We were especially interested in the animal exhibits displayed in the museum. We both took many pictures of the animal exhibits (and a few others), but I've only placed a few of my favorites on this page.

I was a little heart-broken when I saw the carnivore display. As most of you know by now, I love ferrets, and when I saw these animals, I couldn't help but notice their resemblance to my favorite fuzzies. The otter was just too cute not to include here.

I really liked this display because of my religious upbringing. It was interesting to see the different Christian artifacts.

I don't recall what the significance of this statue is. Again, it's just too cute for omission.

I have seen pictures similar to these sculptures in books, and I've always really liked the artifacts from Aztec culture.

This statue is located outside the entrance to the museum. I find it very beautiful and majestic.
