In honor of Tokie's graduation with honors from puppy preschool, we decided to whisk her away on vacation. I had never been to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, so I was curious to see this European adventure. Also, since DC was such a short distance from Williamsburg, we decided to swing by the nation's capital to have some tasty steaks at Smith & Wollensky. Here is a short breakdown of our trip:

• After Tokie's graduation, we started our long journey to VA.
• Our first stop when we reached Williamsburg was a local brewery. Although it wasn't open, we did get to sample the brew later that night a local restaurant.
• After getting Tokie settled at the hotel, we tried to attend a ghost tour. My agoraphobia scared us away.
• The next day we hit Busch Gardens with Tokie in tow. I'll never subject her to the kennels again.
• We left Williamsburg in the direction of DC, making a quick stop to get Tokie groomed.
• As we drove into DC, we found a river cruise that allowed our wonderful puppy on board. All the tourist traps are best seen from a distance.
• After getting Tokie settled at the hotel, we went in search of our prize: a delicious steak from an awesome restaurant.
• The next day was our journey home with our tired puppy napping most of the way.
